Similar to your high school soccer coach, your health coach
is here to provide you with the knowledge, education and
guidance to be successful. It is up to you to then take these tools,
apply them to you own life and "win the game" so to speak.
The difference between this and sports is that your health coach is not going to yell at you. They are not going to force you to run laps as a punishment for missing the shot, and in fact exercise should never be a punishment. Our goal is to look deep within long established behaviors and routines to determine where they are rooted and how we can make change realistic for you.
Your Health Coach Will:
Empower you to discover your own wisdom and strength
Help you create your own solutions to problems
Support you without judgment
Hold you accountable to your goals
Why is this so critical? Because making real, lasting lifestyle and behavior changes isn’t a switch you flip. It takes ongoing effort and support.
If information alone could create change, then Google could cure chronic disease (spoiler alert: it can’t).
Most people already know what they should be doing, and simply telling them to do it isn’t going to magically change their behavior.
My job as a coach is to support and provide accountability for change in another person.
